Taiwan Private Charter Price 2026: From NT$4,000 a Day

How much does a private charter in Taiwan actually cost? Here are Rayway GO's real prices up front: a full-day charter is NT$4,000 for a small car or NT$6,500 for a large van (8 hours, driver included), overtime is NT$450 (small car) or NT$600 (large van) per extra hour, and multi-day trips with an overnight stay are quoted individually by our team based on your itinerary (driver's accommodation included). Airport transfers use our instant online quote — see each vehicle's price in 30 seconds. Below is what's included and when you might pay more. Not sure a charter is right for you? See is a private charter worth it.

Full-day charter: from NT$4,000 (8 hours)

  • Price: NT$4,000 for a small car or NT$6,500 for a large van, driver included — priced per vehicle, not per person
  • Hours: 8 hours, counted from pickup
  • Overtime: NT$450 (small car) or NT$600 (large van) per hour
  • Vehicles: Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid or similar (small car, up to 4 passengers) or Mercedes-Benz Vito or similar (large van, up to 8 passengers), all 3–5 years old or newer, with safety first

"From" means this: a day tour in or around your starting city usually fits within 8 hours, while routes far from your starting city (e.g. Taipei to Alishan and back, or Taipei to Taroko and back) take longer and may run past 8 hours into overtime; the exact price depends on your route. For a single-route breakdown, see the Alishan charter cost guide.

Multi-day trips: quoted individually, driver's accommodation included

Round-island trips and overnight stays in places like Alishan or Hehuanshan are quoted individually by our team based on the number of days, route and lodging (driver's accommodation included). For a single day, a full-day charter is NT$4,000 for a small car or NT$6,500 for a large van (8 hours).

Airport transfers: instant online quote, no waiting

No need to wait for a manual quote: enter your pickup, drop-off, date and group size in the instant online quote and see each vehicle type's price in 30 seconds (a sedan for up to 4, or an 8-seater for bigger groups or more luggage). Taoyuan Airport, Songshan Airport, Taichung Airport and Keelung Port can all be quoted instantly. For the pickup process, see the Taoyuan airport transfer guide.

What's included, and what to budget for separately

Charter quotes include the vehicle, driver, fuel, tolls and passenger insurance. Budget separately for:

  • Driver accommodation on multi-day trips: included in the individual quote for multi-day and overnight trips
  • Overtime: NT$450 (small car) or NT$600 (large van) per hour beyond 8 hours
  • Admission tickets, personal expenses and attraction parking fees: not included
  • Tips: Taiwan has no mandatory tipping culture — tip only if you're happy

Direct charter vs Klook / Viator platforms

Platforms (Klook, Viator, KKday) are convenient for card payment and a familiar interface; the trade-offs are a platform commission in the middle, more rigid routes, and less flexibility for on-the-day changes. Booking a local fleet directly usually gets you a more flexible route and direct communication for the same budget. To compare with bus/self-drive, see charter vs bus vs self-drive.

Rayway GO's transparent pricing

A full day (8 hours) at NT$4,000 (small car) or NT$6,500 (large van), NT$450 or NT$600 per extra hour, multi-day and overnight trips quoted individually (driver lodging included), and an instant online quote for airport transfers — the main numbers are all here. Local drivers who know the roads and routes customized to your pace make it easy with elderly travelers, kids, or a fresh arrival. For a custom itinerary, send us your route and we'll reply with a quote within 2 hours.
