Taipei Songshan Airport Car Service Price: Private Transfers from NT$800

## How much is a Taipei Songshan Airport car service?
A private transfer from Taipei Songshan Airport (TSA) starts at NT$950 for an arrival pickup and NT$800 for a departure drop-off (sedan, Taipei City or New Taipei City). That is the price for the whole car, one way — not per person. The 8-seat van starts at NT$1,050 for pickups and NT$900 for drop-offs. Fares are fixed by vehicle type and destination zone, so there is no meter.

Songshan sits right inside Taipei, and most hotels in Xinyi, Da'an or Zhongshan are about 15–30 minutes away depending on traffic. Below are the representative Songshan fares from RaywayGO's own price list, what can add to the price, free waiting time, and an honest comparison with taxis and the MRT. To see the exact price for your address, use the instant online quote.

## Taipei Songshan Airport (TSA) transfer prices by area
These are the "Taipei Songshan Airport" fares on the RaywayGO price list, in New Taiwan dollars, one way, per vehicle:
- Taipei City & New Taipei City: drop-off sedan NT$800 / van NT$900; pickup sedan NT$950 / van NT$1,050
- Keelung: drop-off NT$1,000 / NT$1,100; pickup NT$1,150 / NT$1,250
- Taoyuan: drop-off NT$900 / NT$1,100; pickup NT$1,050 / NT$1,250
- Hsinchu City & County: drop-off NT$1,400 / NT$1,500; pickup NT$1,550 / NT$1,650
- Yilan: drop-off NT$1,200 / NT$1,400; pickup NT$1,350 / NT$1,550
- Taichung: drop-off NT$2,300 / NT$2,500; pickup NT$2,450 / NT$2,650

Each figure is the lowest price in that zone; a few remote townships carry a remote-area surcharge, which the online quote adds automatically when you enter the address. Other counties are on the full price list. Sedans take up to 4 passengers and vans up to 8. Our vans are the Mercedes-Benz Vito or similar — if you have lots of luggage, choose the van even for a small group.

## Why pickups cost more, and what else adds to the fare

In every zone an arrival pickup is NT$150 more than a drop-off, because the driver has to time the pickup to your landing and wait in the arrivals hall. Other extras are listed below, and the quote shows each one before you book:
- Night surcharge: +NT$150 per trip for pickups between 00:00 and 07:00 — common if you leave your hotel around 5 a.m. for an early Songshan departure.
- Child seats: infant seat (0–1) or child seat (1–4) +NT$200 each; booster (4–8) +NT$150 each.
- Stop-over waiting: +NT$300 per 30 minutes; carrying luggage upstairs +NT$100 per piece; pets +NT$100.

## Free waiting time: 90 minutes for arrivals, 30 for departures
- Arrivals: 90 minutes free waiting, counted from when your flight actually lands — plenty of time for immigration, baggage and currency exchange. If the flight is delayed, we follow the live flight status.
- Departures: 30 minutes free waiting after the driver reaches your hotel or home.
- At Songshan, Terminal 1 handles international flights (Tokyo Haneda, Seoul Gimpo, Shanghai and more) and Terminal 2 handles domestic flights (Kinmen, Penghu, Matsu, Hualien, Taitung and others). Give us your flight number and we will go to the right terminal.

## Songshan Airport car service vs taxi vs MRT

Because Songshan is so close to the city, the honest answer is that a solo traveler with light luggage heading into central Taipei will do fine with the MRT or a taxi:
- MRT Wenhu (Brown) Line: Songshan Airport Station is right next to the terminal; change at Nanjing Fuxing for the Green Line or at Daan for the Red Line. The downside is dragging luggage through transfers and rush-hour crowds.
- Airport taxi rank: metered. Online references put a ride to the Taipei Main Station area at about NT$250–350 (varies with traffic and time of day, and includes the NT$50 airport taxi-rank service fee — the meter is final). If your group needs two taxis, or you need a car very early in the morning, it is not always cheaper.
- Pre-booked private transfer: the price is known in advance, one car seats 4 or 8 with room for luggage, and it suits families, travelers with seniors or kids, heavy luggage, and trips beyond Taipei.

In short: one person, light bag, central Taipei — take the MRT. Two or three people or more, lots of luggage, or a destination outside Taipei — a private transfer is usually better value and far less hassle.

## Straight from Songshan to Taoyuan, Hsinchu or Yilan

A Songshan transfer is not limited to downtown Taipei, and because fares are fixed by zone, the difference shows most once you leave the city:
- Yilan: from NT$1,200 (drop-off) / NT$1,350 (pickup), through the Hsuehshan Tunnel on Freeway 5 — land and head straight for the Jiaoxi hot springs. For a day of sightseeing on the way, see our Taipei to Yilan day charter.
- Hsinchu: from NT$1,400 / NT$1,550, handy for Hsinchu Science Park business trips.
- Taoyuan: from NT$900 / NT$1,050.

## Travelers from Japan and Korea: Haneda and Gimpo flights
Many visitors fly into Songshan from Tokyo Haneda and Seoul Gimpo, landing right in the city — ideal for a direct ride to the hotel. To be clear about language:
- Our drivers speak Mandarin Chinese; we cannot assign an English-, Japanese- or Korean-speaking driver.
- Booking and pre-trip contact work in written English, Japanese or Korean (LINE, WhatsApp or email), and we confirm your flight, pickup point and hotel address in writing beforehand.
- On the day, a translation app (for example Google Translate conversation mode) covers anything else. More tips: No Chinese? How to communicate on a private charter.
